Not passionate about Healthcare. Only money. The founder is a cheapskate Chinaman lala fruit seller who was given an opportunity in life but took them and translate them into surpressing others into putting others less value than the Beh family. No matter how high class you try to be, you will never be there. From the manner you treat another human being shows what kind person you are. Despicable family run business with no sense of integrity.

Boss is a control-freak, he loves to control everything. Very cheapskate. It's hard to apply leave although that's what you deserved. "Buy" back all our annual leaves but never pay us back money. Have to work during weekend. Chinese have to work during Wesak Day because boss said it is not a serious religious ceremonial among all Buddhists (he is Chinese). Holiday is not just a day for us to rest, it is also a way for a company to show their appreciation to us. Company never appreciate what we did. No bonus no benefit and only minimum amount of holidays will be given. Please don't work here. Toxic company.

Terrible management which doesn't allow for good work culture and work/life balance

BP is a company which is open 365 days a year, which means there has to be someone working in the lab everyday. This ultimately leads to people getting overworked, getting over 2000 samples per day which HAS to be finished on that day itself. As delay of running samples will lead to more work being piled up each coming day. And working overtime every single day is the norm, up to 3-8 of overtime everyday. The root problem is due to terrible management, which puts workload first instead of the well-being of the employees. Employees has a life outside of work, but working with BP doesn't really allow for that. Taking leave, or MC is terribly difficult, as you'll be grilled to still come to work, even if late, just to finish the work. Taking leave is almost impossible as the company doesn't even allow you to take more than 5 days off at a time. Because you'd have to find a replacement for your shift. Being overworked is one problem, but having co-workers who constantly pressure you to finish the work is far worse, resulting in work politics and less freedom. The company's peak month is December, and they do not allow any leave during this month.

A fun workplace with supportive collegues but bad management.

A very good place as a start to find experience in medical laboratory field. But not received any benefit, no yearly increment, no medical insurance (but work in medical lab and risky), taking annual leave, mc and emergency leave will lead to deduction of travelling allowance (if provided).

Typical day at work: process lab sample such as blood, urine, sputum, pap smear, and others.

Learn skill such as perform venipuncture, ecg test, bone mineral density testing .

Learn to deal with the patient, doctors. Dialisis, hospitals and others

Good teamwork and communication with co-worker

Hardest part when deal with unsatisfied customer, wrong transmit result to the dr and others.

Most enjoyably when learn something new and understand it well and apply to job.
