I am so happy I spent time to get experience in UM. I have learned analysis and research. The work place is really fun and people are supportive. they have really high expectation from their researchers.
Working at university of Malaya gives you a good experience if you work as a researcher and you can publish many articles within your contract period. Coming early morning taking your breakfast and start your work under your supervisor or your professor you working with. lunch at 12 then back to work up to thee. I learned how to search and working with colleagues as a team to publish an article. I got much experience in research and training how to be pacific and precise. The management was very help full and eager to solve any problems you might face. The hardest part of the job is sitting for long times in front of your computer doing the job. the most enjoyably part of the job is that at the end you will get the fruits for your work by publishing your work in and international journals
You could be arrange and plan your personal time just only you are research assistant. RA would be assigned to the kerinci research building which is not very convenient to go main campus for the related applying processes.
Was a good place to do Masters at. Supervisor was nice and trusted his students well. Also attended some conferences allowed by the supervisor. Published a research article and co-authored one. Good working environment and culture.
Good working environment and culture, good supervisor

UM is one of the most greatest place I had study and work. Every day there I was learn something new and right now I'm still learning. It' rich in scientific knowledge and expertise, and also wonderful friends.
Pros 1. University of Malaya is the best university in the country. It has produced many successful people with top position in government, politics and top industries as well. 2. Good teaching place and research institute but the budget is always constraint
Cons 1. The budget is always constraint 2. Salary is too low for qualifications and work content compared to industries. Sometime the graduates earn better income than the lecturer after 3 years of service.
